Take a video tour of our Space!

If we want our children to build a better world, we have to let them be stakeholders in the world in which they live now.

Nestled in a cozy home environment in St. George, Utah with ample outdoor space, The Treehouse offers a collaborative and self-directed learning experience for students aged 5-15.

At The Treehouse, students have the freedom to explore their interests, set personal goals, and engage in a supportive and family-like atmosphere that encourages growth and development.

One of the key principles at The Treehouse is agile learning, which emphasizes adapting to students' individual needs and learning styles. This approach allows students to take ownership of their education, leading to increased motivation, engagement, and a deeper understanding of the material.

THE TREEHOUSE

Agile Learning Community

Opening Fall 2024

Nature Class
The future is in the hands of the deliberate community builders, creative problem-solvers, emotion-honoring space-holders, and daring entrepreneurs. The skills needed to be successful in any of these roles come from inquiry and practice over time.

At The Treehouse, we are committed to holding space for both inquiry and practice.
Climbing a Tree

Learning is natural and happening all the time. At the Treehouse, we believe that the best learning feels like play. Whether it's individual experimentation with art supplies or a group project planning a field trip, we value all forms of learning and trust it to unfold naturally in our supportive environment.

Autonomy
&
Responsibility

People learn best by making their own decisions, and children are people. At the Treehouse, we believe that students learn best when they are engaged, and nothing works better to engage than personal choice. We are committed to holding space for learners to chart their own course, set their own goals, and support them on their unique journey.

We learn more from the culture in which we are immersed than from the content which is presented. The Treehouse is a cooperative learning community, dedicated to intentional culture creation that values respect, diversity, collaboration, and personal growth. Facilitators model for learners that doing and learning are lifelong pursuits, and that mistakes are how we learn.

Kids Playing Tug of War

Growth happens in cycles of intention, action, sharing and reflection. This is not a linear process. Our agile learning tools support this process in all the individual forms it takes for our learners. We facilitate this by keeping a low mentor-to-learner ratio and holding regular check-ins to share intentions, make plans of action, and reflect on the process.
